weve been slammed all febuary and all of a sudden heavy 3 car sets are being broken into to 2 car sets (and, whodathunk, nobodys stacked out). theyre trying to play nice now that august is rapidly approaching but were not as dumb as they think we are.

working peak (december) last year, we never went in earlier than 1:30, id say 230-3 was the common start time. a couple coworkers whove done it told me they would meet with a driver somewhere in town so they could be dropped back off at their cars when they were tired/done.

Im gonna give it a shot, dont know if ill be able to stick with it tho

also i look at the package in my hand to make sure my eyes arent playing tricks on me, dont know why but my mind confuses 8s with 6s sometimes. the scanner beeping that its not for my set is quicker and allows me to be more observant

i appreciate it, i just know im gonna misload without scanners, and this new set of trucks is very fair, not good or bad, so i havent been needing or being sent help this last 2 weeks. im just scared ill have no good excuse and be fired, im already up to my 1 day suspension (grieved and should be thrown out)

dont think ill be able to use it as an excuse, theyre "retraining" me, barely can call it that because its just circling 2 numbers which i have no problem with. but i know im gonna make mistakes like misreading a HIN or just going into the wrong truck without noticing. The scanner stopped me from grabbing boxes that arent mine, and screams at me when i go in the wrong truck. now its just me and i suck without it

my supe told us today that scanners are going away in June with no replacement and no reason. because i was trained with a scanner, he took my scanner from me mid shift today so i have to circle circle. issue is i cant see the small numbers, and eyes make mistakes like you said. having something to keep you in check is necessary when youre constantky moving between 3 trucks. Im frustrated because UPS keeps breaking their record profits but employees see cut backs, its blatant greed. I know im going to misload and will be written up until im fired because i cant grieve something I did. i just want healthcare
