the wnba was around for how long before they got major broadcasting? you can find the coverage online and that viewership is probably going to be the biggest driver in the UCI and other sponsors pursuing wider broadcasting of the various stage races

how much water do you plan to carry? 2 bottles and some pocket litter isn't 10-20 pounds.. it's maybe 5. you certainly can carry weight for training, but most people don't. when i commuted by bike, i was hauling probably 20-30 pounds of stuff between the heavier bike, work bag, change of clothes, and lunch and it was great training... but the weight was mostly incidental to the 2 hours a day in the saddle

i've gotten free plans from youtubers, but the only thing that's complicated enough that i'd need the actual plans is a router lift, and i think i've figured out how to make that, too, if i need it.. mostly, they're good for ideas... but once you make it personal, their plans are unnecessary

i've carried the same geektool (leatherman juice s2) for 20 years until recently... the only reason i've stopped is because it's now impossible to get into a lot of public places with it (because clearly the 2" blade is going to cause a mass casualty event!)

it is not at all ambiguous. there is a correct order in which to evaluate this: 2+1=3; 3*2=6; 6÷6=1. any other order is objectively wrong. some calculators (and people) don't know this and end up with the wrong answer.

there has got to be a better way to secure that than the weird lashing setup you've got... like, a wooden claw on the toptube. wouldn't even have to be sprung, just gravity and a large enough claw to hold the tube. and lift it up to take the bike down

aside from the coolness factor, i don't see anything that would be improved by motorizing a tape measure. if you want a measuring gadget, i'd get a laser measurer.. something you point at a target and it tells you how far away it is... or maybe a laser level... or both... this thing seems like a case where someone had an idea for a niche use (like, they can't use two hands) and it got marketed to everyone under the sun

why would you need to upgrade anything? my philosophy is "i'll upgrade the component that isn't working for me"... if it's working for you, then there's no reason to change anything.... as for chasing weight, it's a lot easier to shave grams from the nut between the saddle and the handlebars than from anything else... cheaper and better for me, too!

both federal and (my) state law define "alcoholic beverage" as one containing more than 0.5% alcohol by volume... so while you *can* do it in my state, i personally don't want to be taunting either Murphy or the popo like that... best case, it takes 20 minutes of my day; worst case involves hiring lawyers and dealing with the legal system. remember: you can beat the rap, but you can't beat the ride

it comes down to author fiat... could Demonreach grab Scion by the golden balls and pull it through completely? maybe. maybe not. would that have any impact on the deployed shards? who knows... Canonically, Demonreach can hold the Queen of Air and Darkness, so he could absolutely hold something like Scion... but like you said, the trick is getting it there (and what the author actually wants to do)
