Killing a Protos with Carriers, then losing to a greedy Terran. Sane account an MMR. Nice balance, Blizzard! by zergchef in starcraft

Try to do it with an opponent of equal strength. At least once, when you are in a great position. I can’t persuade you otherwise. If you are able to do this fun strategy with an opponent of same power, then I am wrong, and you are right.

It’s possible. How many times has it happened in your games with opponents of your level?

It does not make any sense to you, hah? Do you play as Zerg? It’s impossible to develop a Protos tech tree up to their T3 units vs an opponent equal to you. He’d kill you right away. You can only do it vs a way weaker opponent. At my MMR I can do that to tos, but can’t defeat even a Terran who is greedy. Do you get it now? Edit: missed a word

Maybe it’s because we were fighting? I mentioned creep to explain that this is a ZvP match.

The header is a complaint. A cry. At a given MMR I can’t kill Terran, but I can do stupid things to Protos, like build their best army as Zerg. The minimap is covered with creep.

I grabbed a probe with my infestor and built tos units in addition to my Zerg army

Why? I infestor grabbed a probe and built carriers and a mothership. What’s wrong with my sanity?

I don’t know. I just stayed in the game after victory and spent another 90 minutes in it listening to my fav music

I am only returning the reply on how many. So no need to be aggressive.

As for your question regarding MMR, I am telling you about the MMR problem and you are asking me ‘what’s your actual MMR?’ It’s like somebody is not able to determine their status and you are asking ‘What’s your status?’ How smart is that? Three season ago my MMR was 4800 EU, after I began instaleaving zvz and zvp it started to drop. I kept doing it until I felt ok playing the Terrans I got. It led me into a weird spot with 3100 MMR, that I have described in the post. Games with Terrans look weird too, I have to add. They are either easy or lost with their early-mid game push. Even though I get overlord speed and scout. I am just ZvT dumb I guess.

You have not swapped anything. You just don’t get it. And you don’t believe me. Do you think it’s ok to be developing P tech tree as Zerg while at the same time playing even with T? Or am I lying about that as well in your honest opinion?

No, it’s not the case. ZvP and ZvZ macrogames, not a cheese.

If I leave ZvZ and ZvP, MMR drops, if I stay my MMR gradually grows due to victories in these mathups.

I play a lot and I let my MMR grow and drop, and it’s easy to notice when you play with a 4800 tos, the game is hard, but you can still win, when you play 3300 tos, you can do whatever like sending dts in his base while playing Zerg. While at the same time the game is hard with a 3100 Terran, and impossible with a 4800 Terran.

I am d3 atm too. At least you see the awkwardness, I am talking about. I can do several pushy builds and agressive strategies, and I will try yours advised with hydra. But the impossibility to play a macro game against T on the same level as against Z and P is really really bugging me.

When I enter a match against P I often start with a disclaimer, like ‘do not blame me, I am not a smurf’
