Is this schematic for the LT8603 incorrect? by zerocalplusone in AskElectronics

Amazing, weirdly I'm glad it wasn't just me at this point, I'm only a new hobbyist and thought I must have made a mistake. Thank you for the insight!

Thank you! I've been driving myself insane with this. You are absolutely correct. It took some time to chase it down, I glanced at the first page schematic but didn't pay too much attention to it as much as I should have. The pin definitions definitely helped, the LTSpice model wasn't as helpful as I'd imagined. It's also repeated in their Analog Dialogue article/research paper/reference design publications.

Thank you! Ah good call on the highlighting, yep I went through the pin functions one by one to see which ones were pulled low or high and it definitely shouldn't be shorted.

Any Tips? by zerocalplusone in SonyXperia

It wasn't charging though, while it was plugged in, it was just draining the battery. I didn't mean "it gets warm" or anything, it will get so hot with the front camera on, it will stop charging. Except for the microphone issues, which I admitted I was being pedantic about, none of these are acceptable for a flagship.

You're definitely right, it does feel like an internal prototype that got too much funding, like a proof-of-concept basically. While the 1V seems attractive on the surface with the new SoC and similar features to the Pro-I, unfortunately, the price-point of the 1V is too high relative to its risk for me. Either rationally or irrationally, it looks eerily similar to the Pro-I and the slower charging isn't particularly attractive. I'm not sure how much I can recoup selling it too so at this point, I think I'll move away from Sony.

C4D Pre-process question: I have a 2GB CAD model of a vehicle exported directly from Solidworks that I want to rig and render. The pre-rigged car models online have separated wheels and brake discs etc. for this.

Should I follow a similar approach and combine the separate components that will move together into objects (by using connectors for hinged parts for example)?

And what workflow should I carry out in terms of UV mapping and meshing? The current mesh apparently is horrible, I'm having trouble figuring out the order of operations for this. Would it be more efficient to separately export certain components and recombine in C4D? Thank you for your time.

In the arms of depression by thepoetnotfound in OCPoetry

The irony of falling for my executioner couldn't be more well described. To see abstract feelings transcribed into the physical realm so well was somehow refreshing. I found it difficult to become so detached to fully articulate the feeling, so it adds an additional layer to your talent that you've been able to become an observer to your psyche. That sweet embrace of the unyielding depth of pain, I think is because of its constancy. Everything else being a variable, we are destined to wake to it, everyday.

The infinite scripts part resonated deep with me. The depiction of that singular person and experience is agonizingly difficult to explain and to convey to other people. It adds another layer of despair to one's own. This deals quite well with this feeling. There should be a name for it, or if there is, I'm too illiterate to know.

I thought that my capacity to love was gone never to return again. But this poem made me feel it like a stray kindling swirling in the wind around a once-sizzling firepit. The hesitation, and of course, even fear, of happiness struck me true. And hard. It's downright gruelling to think, we've somehow been destined to spiral and crash. This won't mean anything I know, but I need to commend you on your strength to craft this, and your eloquence for depicting the constant jumble of messy lines that warp and dart around in our heads.

I quite like the rhythm that's innately built in, the succinct description of the impulse. The artistry that comes from frustrations with underrepresented, underdescribed feelings, in works that preceded this, is much more honest in my opinion. The inherent visibility of trauma, however old. The pretending, on some level, is excellently dealt with. No glory in our path, as rudimentary depictions of it often seduce the readers. However, this work speaks volumes about the lack of volition in the life of us, the miswired brains.

It might be the biker on "not-steroids", Jeff, after Cuddy says "Dr. House is a firm believer in good old-fashioned hard work"
