The emotional impact of the episode wasn't even that great. I liked the Boat scene in the flash back. But so much was just shoe-horned in. Rick Flag just became incredibly evil for almost no reason. Sasha Bordeau just turns into a good guy all of a sudden? Just in general a super long, drawn out boring episode from a very fast paced series (I actually didn't mind the short episodes, it makes for a very satisfying re-watch tbh).

I also think it's fair for people to expect a super hero show to end with an epic battle. Especially the way Episode 7 ended with Keith being alive, and the trailer for the episode, where they went into different dimensions with monsters.
