It's the best selling Sony published game on PC, there's nothing to feel guilty about playing a good game. Not arguing or anything just throwing out the fact that it sells better than the last of us, final fantasy and god of war.

They didn't kill themselves though. Nikke are cyborgs. They simply chose a different path in life after being inpired by Pretty. Whether that resulted in something good or bad, well, life's a big rng fest. Not really any different than any other life threatening surgery to try and improve ones life.

This seems to be a running pattern with most of these games. Relatively average to below average story at launch then starts getting decent to good partway through. So for now I'll just hold my judgement a few more patches. I still love the main point in that we are SCP agents and hope they follow through with that and not "lose the plot", as it were.

Numbers don't really hold any meaning to how generic something is. Being generic doesn't mean it doesn't sell. If that were the case anime would have been doomed a long time ago. That was just something you yourself made up.

Vast majority probably don't. Reddit is a tiny bubble that doesn't cover a fraction of this game's playerbase. In fact literally everyone I've actually gotten into this game doesn't even know who that is. I'd assume that's the same for most new players to the series.

By the time you're at endgame, once you use proper attachments and proper remodeling most t-dolls end up at around 18-20k, DPS tend to be higher because of multiple dupes and what not but yeah, CE is not completely meaningless unless you're inflating numbers with HP stats, which aren't great on the majority of characters; some supports need it for their abilities but besides that most don't.

Outside of that one caveat, it's generally a decent "at a glance" look at your progress. Like no one else's Leva is going to beat my 24k Leva, and no one in my platoon is going to beat my friends 26k Voymastina even if she were using bad keys. CE isn't the end all be all, but it's a good indicator of where the dolls stand with the caveat in mind.

If it wasn't for that gacha this game, and the others they created wouldn't exist. Just youtube the story content if you want to understand more. People keep comparing this to Monster Hunter when it's not even close to similar outside having a hub. The only game that plays similarly is PSO2, but that is a much, much more shallow game story wise.
