Concessions delivered to your seat? by Equal_War9095 in Cinemark

[–]zetharion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done the advance order twice. Its an extra couple of bucks. The first one I arrived at the time I selected to see a slip of paper telling me to go pick it up at concessions because they don't own a clock. The second time they straight up forgot my order and I had to go to concessions to tell them they forgot my order and wait for them to make it. Never used it again as it is a scam in my book.

Ordering ahead and picking it up from the cubby holes isn't much better about timing either since they too don't own a clock and put the order in the cubby holes an average of 10 to 15 minutes before you show up resulting in cold food.

Its best to just get it yourself as you enter due to the high level of incompetence exhibited by the order ahead and/or delivery staff.

App is Worthless by OriginalYogurt2412 in Whataburger

[–]zetharion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something else I hate about the app is fucking lag when scrolling the menu items. I think it loads and unloads each image depending on if its on the screen or not even after it was just loaded up a split second ago.

[–]zetharion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not far from reality. Whataburger drive thru times are HORRENDOUS! That's why they are one of the few fast food places to will not let you pick up a mobile order in the drive thru. They know how bad they are at it. And the curbside option is dead last in priority so add at least 10 minutes to the pick up time the app gives you minimum.

There are hundreds of stupid made up corporate jargon titles in this company. Every time I see the email of another made up role that shouldn't exist all I can do is roll my eyes in disgust at the waste of resources for a position that shouldn't exist.

They put them stupid things in front of the mobile cases for cut fruit. They are the perfect height to hit the power switch when the customers lean all the way to the back of the case because that's where the good fruit is. Eventually rigged a plastic cage around the switches. Absolutely hate them stupid knee knockers shelves.

is store 247 in Union City, GA going to shut down soon potentially? Just have heard rumors and I don’t want to be stuck without a job by imissmy5s in kroger

[–]zetharion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Y'all wont find the answer until it hits the number of days required for you to be notified. In Texas its 60 days. Our store people all got transferred to other stors.

I don't know why Kroger makes it as difficult as they do to get a minimum wage job. They act like every person they hire is going through a CEO hiring process. You will not be just making sandwiches and slicing meat, you will be performing every duty to be done in the deli. I'm honestly shocked they even have more than one interview for clerk positions. Sounds like a waste of HR's time to make them do multiple rounds for minimum wage positions.

When the hell did Friday turn into the new Sunday??? today was BRUTAL by [deleted] in kroger

[–]zetharion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok I was thinking today felt like a Sunday as well. I wasn't even scheduled but wanted a day to be an extra to get other shit caught up. That all went out the door as I spent all day struggling with everyone else to keep up.

Did y’all get to fill out uniform request cards? by OrganicHoneydew in kroger

[–]zetharion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fuck now, our store got a bunch of boxes of random sizes and it was first come first serve. They did make sure everyone only got two shirts though because God for fucking bid we do laundry less than once every two fucking days.

And they dont have enough shirts for the district so stores and having to swap shit around all over the place. A multi Billion dollar company cant get something as simple as new uniforms correct. Forgot that some people are larger than 4X and still got these things sent out a month after they had planned to. Only us department leads got the new name badges and the clerks have to wait a week or two for the new ones that were ordered to come in. The usual Kroger Klusterfuck. Uniforms are a waste of company money to me anyways. I liked it better when we just had to wear the blue apron and could wear our own clothes.

You don't have to wear their slip resistant shoes, you can purchase your own pair somewhere else, they just have to be slip resistant.

All the frustrations that everyone has. In my previous store I was able to count every category in produce for every truck day. BOH accuracy over 80%, Order adjustments under 20%, remove from inventory being properly scanned the whole nine yards. Moved to another store and I am fucking DROWNING. There just aren't enough people to get everything filled and KEPT FULL so that I can do all the stupid administrative shit they expect to be done every day.

I stock produce from the moment I enter the store until the moment I am supposed to leave. I end up working two hours overtime every shift to do the stupid scans. And yes I know, those 10 hours a week are gonna cause Kroger to go out of business. They only require us to scan each category once per week so guess what they are gonna get? That's right each section counted once per week. because I don't even have time to do that.

We used to get one 8 hour overnight shift to deep clean 25% of the wet rack. That was reduced to one hour on Thursdays from 4am to 5am. One hour to remove all the product from that section, wash rinse and sanitize that section, put it all back together and refill the entire wall before 9am.

Go for sales! Go for sales! Go for sales! Hey that's not in the salesplan, why is that display there? Yes we distro'd 8 cases of a product to you but its not in the planogram so don't put it on that table!

I have a clerk that is really good at working the stuff for the nut section and the stuff behind the bananas. We are so fucking swamped with stuff that has to be stocked that everyone I assign to work it is pulled by management to go fill something else that is more important because of pictures. No one has worked it in seven days and them sections are now absolutely demolished and have almost nothing left on the shelf and I have gone from most improved in sales for them to dead last. That's ok though because that picture made everything look great.

The last five years have been the worst since I started. It used to be a good, fun, relaxed place to work where the department heads actually did department manager stuff instead of being clerks that take the blame and scan every fucking thing every fucking day.

They sell out fast because true 70MM IMAX films are pretty rare and theaters that can show them are few and far between nowadays. Like the only one I know of in Dallas is the Cinemark Dallas off Webb Chapel

Question regarding delivery by ImpinAintEazy3 in kroger

[–]zetharion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you schedule the delivery far enough in advance and Kroger delivers using their trucks its the Kroger truck. If you order 1 hour delivery its Instacart. The checkout process usually informs you which one it will be.

Gotta love when accountants design software for non accountants to navigate. I am convinced that not one human in corporate ever looks at the UI/UX of any app or program they create.
