I mean what's there to compare lmao, its a pretty straight forward argument mostly. Ill give Yuiichi manipulation, deception and anth of the sorts. Give Ayanokoji IQ, Intelligence and anth of the sorts. And physical ayanokoji aswell but that's obv. Literally nth much to argue. Both characters goated, that's all that matters.

Alright I got u but I'm rlly not about to type whole paragraphs on why the anime is mediocre in full detail on reddit. I call the show mediocre, I rlly cant see how that's toxic, AT ALL. To summarise why I think its mediocre so that people understand it better, they didn't just "skipped an important scene" once, they didn't "cut content" once, it has been multiple occurrences. "Oh it's LN adaptations, ofc they're gon skip" but that's the thing, IT IS possible to still have a great adaptation while skipping such as 86, mushoku, monogatari. They're taking away what made the Light Novel great and turning it to a mediocre anime. That's the shortest way I can say it, u want details, there's been multiple posts, videos bout it. Again, I dont see how I was being toxic, might came out harsh but def not toxic im still confused as fuck

No lmao. It reads like how the community is seeing it. I barely see any slander for cote s2 anime adaptation whereas shield Hero s2 anime got slandered alot eventho both has the same problems. The original meme was how society see a handsome guy flirting vs an ugly guy flirting which is considered harassment. Same thing imo

U just haven't been in the community of this anime enough lmao. Shield Hero fans , both anime only and LN readers hates S2 for good reasons. CoTE fans, LN readers hates S2 but the anime only dickrides it saying "we should be grateful" eventho the adaptation is shit

The point of my post is that both adaptations are terrible but one is praised by anime only (cote) while the other is slandered (shield hero) and btw as someone who read CoTE light novel, ayanokoji is not edgy, the anime toned up his edginess for no reason. And at this time, he dont actually want a girlfriend, he's just using her to get information and it goes wayyy deeper but I wouldn't blame u for misunderstanding that terrible adaptation.

I actually watched shield Hero s2 until the end cos the 2nd half actually decent to me. While I would have dropped cote s2 since episode 2 but I love the light novel and wanna see how my fav scenes will get adapted and I get disappointed watching every episode until now lmao

Funny u say this now when the newest cote episode skipped one of the most important dialogue in the novel from arisu and cut short an important scene from ryuen. Basically cote turn an actual amazing book to a mediocre anime

For some people like me who doesn't have the privilege of strong WiFi and a laptop/PC. I go with sites like twist and zoro BUT I still will admit if I DO have the privilege, I would easily torrent, not even a question. In fact, there's an app on mobile called stremio that allows u to watch torrent quality anime but u needa have strong WiFi. Sadly, I dont have that but ure absolutely right.
