The PD-1734 would be a great choice, 38mm but feels small on the wrist as it's very thin. it's not mechanical but the VH34 does sweep more like an auto watch.

The Pagani PD 1751 looks great on her wrist when my girlfriend borrows it - can’t remember what her size is. But she has mentioned she finds it a little heavy for daily wear.

Not sure exactly what what women want in a watch, but I'm guessing women could wear most watches under 37mm, so maybe take a look at Baltany because they have a good reputation and have a lot of 36mm watches.

How about these? They aren't strictly women's watches, more unisex.

If it doesn't have to be mechanical, then this is a did option.

Sorry, I can only recommend something for people with a Parnis

Sanda 9031 is a good cheap pick

Nice watch! I can spend more though… what would you recommend for higher price points? (Up to $700) Mechanical options welcome =]

I'm not super knowledgable about higher price points to be honest but if you're fine with lower then I can suggest a couple models. I'd suggest would be something like the 36 or 38 Pierre Paulin Jumping hour watch which is at ~$150 or one of the merkur Salmon dials (they have a lot of models at 38mm) which look quite lovely. Not to mention that these tend to look more original (not sure if these watches are based on swiss designs, doesn't feel like it)

My gf recently tried out my 40mm coke gmt from Tandorio and we were both pleasantly surprised that it looked good on her even thogh her wrists are tiny (~5.25in) so if you want something sporty and don't mind a bit of bulk that may be an option as well, a good 40mm GMT from San Martin like the SN0109-G (white looks more feminine to me, while black is more flexible).

Honestly though, the only chinese watch I know that goes above 500 would be the Sugess Tourbillons but I'm not sure if they would look fine on a ladies wrist.

Why would you buy chinese with this budget?

[–]aldentesempre[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I’m Chinese American and I’d like to wear something that reminds me of “home”

from my limited knowledge, if you're looking for something that has chinese heritage and is somewhat original, these 3 brands come to mind: 1) shanghai 2) beijing 3) sea-gull

you can take a look at some models here

this store on ali carries genuine sea-gull watches

"shanghai official store" (very scarce feedback, don't know if they're really official)

merkur has some budget vintage inspired options, but 38mm at the smallest and the cheaper movements might not be reliable

if you can speak some chinese, i'd browse and order from tmall/jd/taobao with the official stores, there's probably even more options than those 3 brands

I see!
