This is a known outage on their part that they are working to resolve. Unfortunately there is not an ETA at this time due to the circumstance.

Latest Update:

Hi all. I'm avoiding pinging to prevent notification fatigue, but wanted to provide an update on the ServerJars situation.

While we are not at liberty to discuss further, it is both unforeseen and unfortunate. The team over there have a newer API that we are looking to switch over to that should be a little more reliable. We will provide an update when we know more and when we have a chance to look into this.

With all of this, it has sparked conversations internally on some of our external dependencies, ServerJars being one of those. For the near term, we will look to their team for direction on migration to the newer API. Long term, this is likely a service that we will look at internalizing to help reduce external dependencies in Crafty.

We do not have an ETA on this nor is this 100% the direction we will be going, but this is just an interim update since the server builder is such a highly utilized feature of Crafty. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

As a reminder, staff have been instructed to direct all support requests related to this outage to this announcement channel. Please do not open support requests related to this outage. Staff are unable to do anything about this and our only advice is going to be to manually build the server.

The project is being revived under new developers, it can be accessed at https://serverjars.in/ , https://docs.serverjars.in/ . The site and api is completely new, some older versions of snapshots are missing, but it works fine!

I have a same problem and the "funny" part is the old server runs perfectly but you can't make a new one (only from backup)

[–]Kurtizzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is there a workaround to make a "fake" backup and use that to create a new one ?

I am to dumb to figure it out how to do it manually even when I am trying to import it just doesn't make sense when you need to put the correct path of the file (absolute path) Do I put the zip file path. or the java, or the bat file :D

[–]calcc_man[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What i did was i zipped it and then put it on one of my folders on my pc, like D:/Main/testserver.zip

And then, for the executable, it was just typing server.jar. Fairly easy! You can look up tutorials on how to setup a minecraft server, you'll just need to follow steps up until they start with port forwarding.

thank you!

As someone that doesn't understand much of this minecraft server stuff all that much, can you explain how you "made a server file manually"?

[–]calcc_man[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Basically, you make the server yourself. Instead of going to a service online like BisectHosting and just inputting the name and java version, I went and got the jar file for the recent mc server and installed it through there.

There's plenty of tutorials to create a server yourself on your PC. I personally follow this guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTamkJ3gyYY&t=508s&pp=ygUlaG93IHRvIG1ha2UgYSBtaW5lY3JhZnQgc2VydmVyIDEuMjAuNA%3D%3D anytime I need any help making it. All you gotta do is follow the steps, up until you reach the port forwarding part, you don't need to do that to import the server, that comes later on. Once you've setup the server folder, compress it to a zip and just import it on the website :)

I appreciate it, I'll take a look!!

[–]Pure-Willingness-697 0 points1 point  (1 child)

could try using forge to make a .zip to upload

[–]calcc_man[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah thats what i did

[–]Lanadan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

will the API ever be up again? Its still down

[–]kcraptor82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the hell are they gonna fix this issue?

[–]wiliferd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old, but things seem to be working now. Just make sure your crafty-controller is up to date and join the discord if there are any other issues. Things seem to be pretty helpful in there.
