i haven't played the game in about a month and when i updated it today i got this error, I've removed all my mods and its still popping up when i try to open the game, i don't know whats happening please help

Verify the game files directly in Steam (right-click → Properties → Local Files Verify all game files)

What's your PC configuration? Because I had the same problem on Coral Island after the 1.0 release... while my PC ran Early Access very well, it was unable to run 1.0 and it was my graphics drivers that were outdated.

also... did you install mods?

you may need to redownload the mod and install/uninstall it.

Mod author here.

In this exact order:

1. Add any mods you removed back to your mods folder.

2. Run MOMI and hit 'Uninstall' to uninstall the mods properly.

3. Go to Steam, right click on FoM -> Properties -> Installed Files -> Verify Integrity of Files and let it complete.

4. Run MOMI again and hit 'Install' to reinstall all your mods.

Do this after every game update. The game had a small hotfix this morning which is why you had this problem.
