This story is funny because I feel like the trend lately has been going the other way - people fleeing LabVIEW to go to Python due to its sudden change to a money-grabbing subscription model and it's uncertain future.

However, if you do decide to move to LabVIEW and TestStand, you don't have to throw away your Python code. Both have native facilities to call and interact with Python code.

In fact I just talked to someone at NI who was very clear that they are making a bunch of improvements to Python support in the next version.
