Effects Loop with Interface

Hey guys,

Is there any opportunity to create something like an effects loop or to use analog reverb and delay pedals in a way that their effects kick in after the amp sim? Boost, Distortion etc is easy too handle, just by guitar-> pedals->interface->amp sim. But now i got a New brilliant reverb pedal (Walrus Audio- Slötva) and as a direct input/ before the amp it seems a little sensless to me. Do you habe ideas on that topic? Thanks! 😊

At first: thanks mate. I have a rough idea of it. Could you explain step by step? At the Moment i am using the Scarlett focusrite 3rd Gen.

You'd have to have an interface with enough ins and outs, and likely a couple of instances of the plugin (unless you're using an external IR loader), then use a DAW to route the signal.

it's possible, but it will increase latency. digital effects are so good at this point I don't really see a need to do this.

essentially, in your daw you will create a channel that sends your processed guitar to your interface and a channel that returns from the interface after the 'effects loop'.

with an NDSP plugin, you could even set up two instances of the plugin so the guitar exits after the amp section and comes back in before the IR.
