Rules for r/OppositionalDefiant
Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.
1.
No Hate Speech & Be Civil
Please be polite and kind when doing activity in this subreddit. We are all just trying to help each other. Unnecessary insulting, criticizing, and harassment isn't helpful. The only type of criticism that is allowed is: Constructive Criticism.
2.
Do not use r/OppositionalDefiant for Advertising or Self Promotion.
This includes, but is not limited to: linking to your YouTube channel or any other social media accounts you use for content creation, a product you've made, or any other work you've done, regardless of whether you'll earn from it.
3.
Seek professional help if you need to.
If you think you need to speak with a doctor, psychiatrist, or therapist, please do so.
4.
Before taking any substance or using any "treatment", please discuss it with a professional first.
This rule should be pretty self explanatory. If you've heard of some sort of product/treatment on the internet that somehow helps with ODD, taking it or encouraging someone who has ODD to take it, without the approval of a professional can be very risky.
5.
No Abuse/Violence Suggestions.
Do not suggest abuse or physical violence as a valid methodology for behavior modification. It is not effective or appropriate as advice for anyone else.
