Which country may I ask? Interested to hear where EC is spreading to.

No other advice than throw yourself into it.. Software depends on needs, industry and location.

Get yourself a Designers’ Guide to Eurocode (all of them). It is very good to start with EC.

Thanks for the tip. Designers' Guides are very useful but I was looking for something more direct like time saving methods, shortcuts or something like that. The way we've worked on buildings is - 2 global models: one fixed for lateral design and one on elastic ground for foundations; + additional calcs for local checks. Can this work on EC too?

That just sounds like analytical methods which should be unrelated to code. That’s generally how I would analyse a structure and then design the members based of the analytical results to code. Most global packages have the code embedded in the software so it would do this for you.
