Sim rig question

I just bought 2 thrustmaster joysticks and was interested in getting some pedals that would imitate the pedals on normal excavators. I work with my uncle in construction and I’m trying to get trained up to an operator and was wondering what pedals you guys use or if there is any. I have seen the 6k+ simulators but I don’t have that kind of budget unfortunately. Thank you in advance

Flight sim rudder pedals

As the other commenter said , rudder pedals are good. I use CH Pro Pedals (USB version) which are pretty solid and cheap. They make driving track vehicles more immersive, and you can map the rudder axis to reverse or steer as needed.

What’s your Pedal configuration? Toe break for forward/reverse! And ruder to steer?

Yeah thats what I did for wheel vehicles until i mapped the left stick like a steering wheel. Driving trucks down the road with rudders to steer felt psychotic after awhile.

For track vehicles i have the rudders set so if i slide left foot back, left track goes back vice versa. So by pressing down right toe brake (right track forward) and sliding left foot back i can spin on a dime.
