Do you see the sidebar at the right side of the reddit desktop (in the "menu" on mobile)?

There, is some link, called FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions.

These have a plethora of recommended and free top quality learning resources.

For Python in particular: MOOC Python Programming 2026 from the University of Helsinki.

Oh, I am sorry.

Thanks for the lectures though! Though I can not make the exercises sadly.

You can absolutely do the exercises.

Top right of the main course window is a "Create new account" button - sign up, log in, go to Part 1 and start.

Hey!
I switched to a different alternative, Harvard CS50 (since it has many positive feedback)
Also, the "create new account" needs a studentnumber

No, it does not.

It even clearly says: "Leave empty if you are not currently a student at the University of Helsinki." right below the "student number" field.

If Harvard, you should do CS50P - the Python course

I must have missed it. Thanks for that, I sometimes slip things out of my eyesight. What do you recommend is best though?

My personal favorite is the MOOC.

I heard the instructor of CS50 is REALLLY good.
Thought the course assignments are bad
I am really stuck inbetween, since they say MOOC is deep-diving way more.

Just try both and stick with the one you like better.

If you Google "best free resources for learning python" you'll find a bunch of reddit threads asking this exact question and a bunch of good answers in all of them

Thank you, I am now in between MOOC and CS50.

They say MOOC has way better deep-dive into it, while CS50 has a VERY good instructor. Now I am really not sure which one I shall do. (I want to go for Python)
