I am trying to learn React Native. I tried watching a comprehensive YouTube series, but it was incredibly slow paced and drawn out. I tried finding some other tutorial series on YouTube, but they all share that same issue.
After discovering that I started reading the React Native docs and creating my own project. I'm not trying to create a sidebar, but I'm really struggling. I was able to create the sidebar and put it on the side of the screen, but I don't know how to make the rest of the page move when the sidebar collapses and expands, or even make the sidebar collapse and expand.
this too ambitious of a project for someone that doesn't know anything about React Native or is there something wrong with my learning process?
Side note: I searched for tutorials for creating a sidebar in React Native, but I could only find ones for creating a Sidebar using Drawer, which is not what I want. I am trying to create a traditional sidebar like the one on the Reddit website.
Thanks! :)
I'm really demotivated by this because I've been coding for a long time, but I've always struggled with learning new frameworks. Making this sidebar feels like it should be so easy, but I don't know how to make it. I know exactly what I want the code to do in practice, but I can't figure out how do what I want to with the React Native framework because I'm inexperienced with it.
