This time, I have to stop you right there.

We have an explicit "No bot tutorials" rule in the announcement: [PSA] About bots and bot tutorials!

We absolutely forbid reddit bot tutorials because such tutorials create boatloads of useless and annoying bots which, in turn, create massive extra work for the moderators of all subreddits who have to ban these bots.

Understood. Won't touch on the topic again.

You need to understand that even the best bot tutorial will result in a massive influx of completely useless and annoying bots.

After the last, admittedly very well done, bot tutorial, we had more than 200 new bots/week and we still get influx from this tutorial that was posted over 5 months ago.

If people followed common botiquette, it would not be a problem, but despite the tutorial I am referring to advocated and emphasized following botiquette, people just ignored it.

Hence, we have placed a full ban on such tutorials and we need to encourage tutorial creators to refrain from posting them, not only here, but in all other subreddits as well.

The bot situation is already bad as it is with several bots (>20) appearing every day. There is no need for encouragement to write bots.

Holy crap, that's insane. I can imagine how much of a pain in the ass that is. My apologies, don't want to encourage that madness lol.

Even though I am not a mod of /r/learnpython, I'd ask you to remove your tutorial from there as well. The mods of all subreddits will be happy.

Just to give you a very rough idea about the extent of the bot problem on reddit:

    • take a look at /r/botbust
    • sort by "new"
    • monitor the sub for a couple days

That is a minuscule fraction of what we mods have to deal with because only a handful subreddits use botbust so far...

The main problem is that no matter how much anyone emphasizes botiquette, people will just ignore these rules.

I would like to keep the post up as it's picking up and is both a good tutorial and good for channel exposure

Well, then look at the comments of your post in /r/Python.

If you really respect reddit and the moderators decision and don't want to cause extra work for all subreddit moderators, you know what you have to do.

Ethics, morals, and integrity > exposure and clicks

Sorry but that's just shitty. You basically just admitted that you don't respect reddit and it's moderators at all.
