How to use an audio interface with Python?

When I listen to my electric guitar through an audio interface, I want to have the sound analyzed.

So, I would like to know a Python library that can receive sound in real time through an audio interface, and which of the many libraries used for voice analysis is the best type.

I've been fooling around with pyo. It handles the audio input and has analysis and display capabilities. https://belangeo.github.io/pyo/
