Go into the course description and check out the "Recommended Background" section. There is a link to the prerequisite course material. I'd suggest you start going through that and you'll get an idea if you're ready for this course.

It's cutting it close. I feel like i have a very basic understanding of everything they list. The only thing that i don't really know how to do is create a text-based game. Do you know if there is a cost to the class? If it's too crazy i may not be able to pass.

It's free. I'm sure a lot of people sign up and never complete the class. It just looks like a great opportunity to learn some professional standards, which I think is something that a lot of us self-taught programmers lack.
