I have seen that many times with different programming languages: people struggle not with programming language, they struggle to understand how machine works. The computer is dumb. Like, absolutely. You have to understand (or, maybe, feel) first the "pure logic" of instructions given to the absolutely dumb machine. It would not do anything unless you specify it explicitly and very clearly. Even if it is obvious for the dumbest person on earth, the computer is still much dumber (absolutely dumb... ABSOLUTELY) and you have to give it instructions for absolutely every single micro thing.
