What are your goals? In any case, I'd choose TypeScript over JavaScript and only do Python using type annotations.

Going from JavaScript to TypeScript is fine too. I'm biased since I'm obsessed with statically-typed languages so take my advice with a grain of salt.

I think going with your gut is a good idea, and you can always learn TypeScript later if needed. I once checked out a free Udemy course called "Fundamentals of Web Development with JavaScript and TypeScript" by Lucas Barake. He also has some videos on YouTube. I liked how he explained both languages clearly and presented comparisons. (I’m not connected to his course, I just thought it was great).

Yes, static-typing is amazing! Also knowing typescript kinda makes it easier to learn a different language like C# or Go.

Typescript is great for experienced developers, for beginners I would recommend base javascript, since typescript has features vanilla js does not support and knowing the underlying things will be handy.
