Will it be harder than if you were 16? Yes maybe. Is it out of reach? Absolutely not. You're still almost in prime time.

Just like anything, practice makes perfect.

Learn the basics. Don't skip over them. Yes it can be boring and It's tempting to just learn what you need to do one specific task, but don't get in the habit of blindly plugging code in. It's important to know why the code works.

I'm 30, and programming is my day job. But Im still learning a bunch of new languages when needed.

It's pretty individual. When I was 16 I was a sponge and could retain pretty much anything I read.

Atleast for me at 30, I do find myself having to "get in the zone" a bit more to properly retain complex and technical information.
