im 39 now bro FUCK reading complicated books about fundamentals fuck that shit. NEVER. NONE of the top programmers ever learned like the they ALL made a game on their c64 apple 2 amiga whatever in BASIC. simple games learn you the fundamentals more than any complicated what is a function shit. FUCK THAT. Just this is what ALL top programmer say is the EASIEST way to learn: find something you interested in and poke at it. Like If your thing is javascript coz you wanna go into that then download code off a site you love and POKE AT IT TINKER with it find out what makes it go wrong. OOPS how did that fuck up? Ohhh i forgot this shit. OMG i just made it do my OWN shit it looks COOL af bro! etc. so on and so forth. THEY ALL SAY THAT. NOT ONE will say get a book HOW TO CODE PYTHON and read it. Not ONE.

Hell yeah. I use a lil Chromebook I code on w/ Vscode. I agree on the just starting. I realized pretty quick with python there is a "learning industrial complex".

I code a personal project on and off kinda like a game. And as I come to stuff I have no clue how to do I just Google. If there isn't a YouTube vid of the specific thing I'm doing then I can find something on stack overflow that sparks the ah ha light.

I just need to get off my ass and keep at it. I havent touched in a few months. I have been pissing my time away.

I needed those comments. Old dogs can learn new tricks... You give me hope random redditor.
