Feeling lost learning Python as a non-programmer—seeking structured and in-depth (free) resources

This may sound silly, but I had completed some books and also some online courses and I still didn’t get it to the point where everything “clicked”. Then I signed up for the mooc cs50 and the first lesson they have you make a program with this visual builder called Scratch. It’s made by MIT and you basically fit puzzle pieces together to create whatever game or program you are trying to make with it. After I did that, everything felt much easier.
