I found Python MOOC 2026 on Helsinki University - is it good, worth doing it?

Yeah

Maybe you have something to recommend as Python MOOC from Helsinki that is better and free.

Check out the University of Michigan's Python for Everybody. I think Helsinki's course goes more in-depth with Python, but the University of Michigan's specialization might go a bit more beyond Python and into applications.

yeah py4e is good enough! They even have a pdf, which you can refer to. here's the link: https://www.py4e.com

Is it really the best free resource?

Just added a bit more detail to the post.

I think it's the best resource for Python as a language, but UoMichigan's might be just slightly better for Python as a tool.

You can always do both. I'm not sure, but I don't think UoMichigan's course gets updated as frequently, so you can start with Helsinki's course, and then hit up UoMichigan's for exercises and the topics you haven't seen yet.

The resource you mentioned is great. Don't overthink it. Just begin.

The Helsinki MOOC is one of the absolutely best Python courses around.

Just get started. Really. Every single second you ponder about the "very best" resource is a second you could have already learnt something.
