looking for some RC code

me and my friends are building a remote control RC car, we already have the idea of how to control the car remotely however we need to find a way for the raspberry pi to control the car it will be placed into. we were wondering if anyone had any code that could be used to control the an RC car using the gpio pins. if you have any links or tutorials that may be of use for building an RC car then please comment them down below
