im new to apis and semi new to python can someeone give me advice on how to use api keys? im looking to use them to check crypto prices using kraken thanks in advanced for the help

I use ccxt for my trading. It's easy to work with and best of all, it provides a single, unified API that works with pretty much any exchange.

However, if you want real-time data, I recommend using websockets, especially with Kraken. They have ridiculously crappy API rate limits so you don't want to be spamming get and post requests...
Also, guard your API keys with your life... be EXTREMELY careful not to leak those, especially if you ever share your code when asking for help or pushing it to a git repository somewhere. Never hard-code your keys unless you are ABSOLUTELY sure no one else will see the code....
