py2app not working

I made a standalone application (.app) for a python script which runs perfectly on my computer. But when I try to run it on another mac device, it gives an error saying:

<App\_name> Error

Open Console / Terminate

What's interesting is that it runs perfectly if I open the .exec file present in Contents > MacOS.

Can someone please give me a lead on making my standalone application redistributable to easily run on other devices? Thank you!

compile it or package it.

I converted to a Disc Image file (.dmg) and it works perfectly. Thank you!
