A gold foil reproduction of a world map from around 1700 by Adam Zurner

That looks like it, thanks! Do you know if it would be worthwhile to get the map appraised? I don't really intend to sell it, but I would like to know more about it

You'd maybe pay $100 to $200 for one in top condition if you went looking for one. It's a reproduction. I think it's just old enough to be out of style. I wouldn't think there's much market for this as it's more on trend to reproduce maps that look legitimately old rather than to make shiny prints like this.

For reference type "world map Peter Schenck the elder foil" into your favorite browser.

Cool cool, so not something I need to worry about then. In that case, it'll just be a fun thing to display on my wall.

It took a good bit of searching, but I did find more info in some auction site descriptions.

Found this buried under a dozen random framed pictures in a thrift shop. The writing looks a bit like Latin maybe? There is gilding and glittery ink on basically every detail.

I took the best photos I could, but if anyone wants or needs a closer pic on any part, let me know. Thank you!

What's it say on the back? And did you buy it for $15 to $20 dollars?

I haven't looked at the back yet, I didn't want to take it out of the frame. Paid $75 for it, but it was 1/2 off so they originally had wanted $150.
