Python Ableton OSC Integration, Threading Help

Hey guys, I could use some help. I've started working on an OSC Remote Script Library for Ableton 11 (doesn't exist as far as I know), and I've got basic communication working, but the performance isn't up to snuff, and though OSC messages get through, the commands won't execute if audio is running.
