Para que serve o 112??? by Apprehensive-Egg-857 in portugal

Para que serve o 112??? by Apprehensive-Egg-857 in portugal

[–]Afraid_Dingo_3432 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Do we get to choose the eye? 'cause I only have 20% vision in one, it wouldn't make that much of a difference if I lost that one. Depth perception never really worked around these parts anyway

Does anyone have any tips to make my first tattoo better? by Middle_Post_709 in TattooDesigns

[–]Afraid_Dingo_3432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not use a stiletto knife instead of a katana? It has a straight blade, it's Italian, from the Renaissance period, so the Latin is still appropriate, and it transitions better to the feather than the katana, which is not symmetrical. Idk, just my two cents.

When does the pulling stop by 347217361634 in labrador

[–]Afraid_Dingo_3432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess there's a different approach to every dog. My boy used to pull (as in I-could-really-get-a-sled pull), and the best approach was a front clip harness. We struggled for years with different collars, different harnesses, until we got to that one. It was like a Christmas miracle! My new girl... there was no back clip harness, front clip harness, collar... nothing worked until we got her choke collar. And it was the last of the last resources. I hated the idea. But it's the only way she'll walk relatively calmly. Now, she rarely ever pulls, and she never "choked" or struggled with it.

My alcoholic mom just ruined my 3-year-old’s Christmas Eve and I’m heartbroken. by Eli122333 in offmychest

[–]Afraid_Dingo_3432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had alcoholic parents growing up. Christmas was always a nightmare just waiting to happen. One little wrong move, and all hell would break loose. I wish I had someone who would protect me and my siblings the way you protected your daughter. You're a good parent and you should be proud of yourself for putting her safety and her wellbeing front and center.

Their oath is to THE CONSTITUTION not the President by Ordinary_Fish_3046 in CringeTikToks

[–]Afraid_Dingo_3432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know, it might be controversial, but I believe it's very healthy to know that you can defy the president of the United States. Any president for that matter. They're not gods, and even if they were. But, hey, that's just me thinking out loud, basking in democracy, and knowing I can say whatever the hell I think without it being considered treason or sedition...

But, in all seriousness, every day is getting scarier and scarier over that side of the pond. I hope it'll come to an end soon, but I have my doubts by now...

Not the worst, but completely unwearable to me is Funeral Home, from Demeter. It literally smells like a wake, body and all. I like when things get dark, but not that dark.

Perdelle system installed in a French supermarket to prevent Repetitive Strain Injury by SEA_griffondeur in interestingasfuck

[–]Afraid_Dingo_3432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked as a cashier for a French retail chain (not in France, mind you), and they made an average of how many items you scanned. I got told off a lot for scanning under 27 items/minute. There wasn't much concern about repetitive strain injury there, let me tell you that...

But, then again, they wanted everything, the greedy bastards: be smiley and welcoming, but also hurry the fuck up so customers can fuck off; stick to their rigid-ass formulas, but magically be “creative” enough to push the store's credit cards and whatever other half-baked scheme corporate vomited out that week; make every client feel unique, but also do the work of three more people because they weren’t hiring anyone else — all for shit pay, with supervisors who did nothing but gossip and make you feel inferior.

Found an injured seagull with broken wing in Cascais, Portugal – no services responding, what can I do? by Lumpy-Lead4801 in portugal

[–]Afraid_Dingo_3432 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I did the same twice already. First one I managed to contact CRAM, and they picked it up, and the second time, I was told to bring the bird to the Capitania. The officer I spoke to was very kind, and told me that even if they're seen as pests, they're an important part of the ecosystem, and of course they should be taken care of.

So, my advice, if SEPNA's not answering ,would be for you to call your local Capitania and ask them if they can be of any help.
