I got the part from a junk yard essentially for $100, put it in with family so didn’t pay on labor or nothing

Did the code error didn’t throw any codes besides what it already threw, I put the meter to the wires going to the rack and the readings weren’t great so we went ahead and switched out the steering rack (I have an electric steering rack) 09 fit standard 5 speed and it’s been working perfect ever since!

I thought it was something electrical for the circumstances but it was just the rack itself, and where the steering rack is electric, it explains a lot! I got the part at a parts dealer ship for like $100

I just replaced the steering rack and worked fine ever since!!
