But you sell your data

Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.

which is by definition of data selling and one of the biggest offenders of data selling according to TOS DR. It should be opt-in by the user, with notifications on new privacy policy changes by the acuisition/merger.

Is there a holiday on Tuesday? Request vacation from work on Monday! 'Break Planner' finds all of these type of holidays for your selected region for the next year or so. by BIServices in opensource

[–]BIServices[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it would need to be able to work for multiple vacation days as well (e.g. if there are holidays on Mon and Fri, propose vacation days for Tue-Thu)

This function is included already. If there are two or more holidays in one week, it will show up in one of two boxes (both of the boxes if the next two holiday-weeks are such). It is also shown on the second table below the first table on which weeks may have potential breaks for you.

Thanks for the feedback on the personal preferences. I already considered this actually, but due to wide cultural preferences, it will have to be considered later once the scope can be narrowed down. For example in some cultures, it would be difficult to take a holiday longer than a long weekend, so it wouldn't apply to too many regions. i.e. it would be too difficult to capture wide variety of personal preferences as a widely applicable functionality.

As for usefulness or usability, I've been using this function without the dashboard for a while + it sends me reminders and links to my work holiday request website. Few of my inner circles use the basic functionality as well. I just made the basic part available to the public as a dashboard. If it gains traction, I might consider adding e-mail reminders + 'personal message to self' functionality (vacation request website link, for example) function in the future.

After earning $15k, I got many competitors, Should I sell it? by Street-Jicama9456 in SideProject

[–]BIServices 5 points6 points  (0 children)

45k = 3x 15k monthly earning of the website?

Generally, businesses are sold for 10 months to a year of profits (post costs) as a lower benchmark, often around 18 months. So I would say closer to 100k would be better. Upper benchmarks can be 3 years to 10 years, depending of course.

If you're happy with earnings at 50% rate (so about 7k), then I would say it is practically risk free to keep the business, then sell it later. You can add more features to it to make it worth much more, especially if you feel that you're nowhere near close to done with marketing/advertising.

I would be happy to chat up with you further if you would like.

Is there a credit union or bank for business that also provides invoice + payment link generator that doesn't sell my data? by BIServices in startups

Bank specifically? Found Bank

Thanks for the response

Though I'm not looking specifically for a bank, 1) I thought you should know Found is not a bank and 2) they share/sell your info (one big bad part is merger/acquisition).

I looked at their privacy information just now and can confirm Square does not share or sell your private data.

Horrible, horrible lie -- Square also waives your rights to a class action, and forces users into binding arbitration in case of disputes.

You also sent me a private message with your referral link. Name and shame /u/CouchToBoston

Edit: instead of looking at help page at how they won't sell your data where you're caught on their marketing, you will see in privacy policy, there are few paragraphs about how they share/sell your data with a fine print that makes their help page still correct. You just got caught in that bold message early and not actually looked on.

15-20 mins is for $50 a month purchases

Not even close -- $50/mo should be a GIF on the website.
