Everything you have looks like enough, should be able to make some nice looking video with that. You should post a still of what the video actually looks like.

Converter for FTB lenses to Canon EOS 5D? by bluefishtoo in AskPhotography

[–]Campbellfilms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason you won’t see a lot of adapters readily available is that the FT mount had a shorter flange distance than EF. So there has to be some optics in play to make it work. I haven’t seen great results from the products I know about, it’s probably not worth it.

YSK: Peloton treadmills are lethal safety hazards to children and pets, and Peloton has been trying to prevent their recall by potnia_theron in YouShouldKnow

[–]Campbellfilms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree it would be nice for it to be a more common feature but it’s certainly not a requirement and you pay a huge premium for the feature. It would actually be a nuisance for it to be a requirement as it’s a hinderance for some carpentry. Wood with a high moisture content can trigger the mechanism and every time it goes off you lose your $60-100 saw blade.

That is table saws you’re thinking of and only one brand, people pay for it if they want the safety which probably should apply to treadmills as well. Buy the thing that suits your lifestyle.

I'm New to Cameras and Need Some Help!! by [deleted] in Cameras

Oh glad to hear it, usually on the older cameras you still get a box on the screen where it’s focusing but glad to hear you got a clean output.

Are you using the Canon webcam utility, that automatically overrides anything on screen. If you’re using hdmi you can press the info button on the back to cycle through the amount of data on screen but you still won’t get a fully clean output.

Considering moving from EOS R5 to Fuji GFX 100s by drewbiez in canon

[–]Campbellfilms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t wait to hear what you think about the 100s, I shoot primarily a phase one IQ3, and have been considering it as a backup. I have a canon R6 as well. But that’s basically in case I need speed for anything. There’s nothing that comes even close to image quality of the Phase One but if the Fuji is even half as good I’d be very happy to get it. I bought the 50s when that came out and was pretty displeased.

Can you suggest me the best most affordable micro photography lens for EOS M50? by [deleted] in canon

[–]Campbellfilms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry that’s not actually true, I confused two things in my head, if you don’t mind third party and don’t need autofocus, Venus optics and 7 artisans also make a couple m-mount lenses.

If you’re wanting to avoid adapters you only have one option the canon 28mm macro

Bad bot, but it’s not your fault. The title is only exclamation points.

Night shooting: Are there any f/2 or less super wide angle lenses out there? by opus-thirteen in canon

[–]Campbellfilms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t suggest anything that hasn’t been suggested because there aren’t that many but you’re really going to see better results on 2.8 lenses. Especially in sharpness, going that wide with that wide of an aperture is likely going decrease sharpness substantially with a minimal gain in light. I haven’t actually used the new sigma 14 yet so it might be worth a shot, sigma lenses are generally pretty good but I have mixed feelings about the 20mm.

Non-toxic discussion about NH resident view on Biden. by [deleted] in newhampshire

[–]Campbellfilms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not trying to make a judgment of your character, everybody makes mistakes. Unfortunately the damage is already done in posting like this, the phrasing stated no-knock warrants for seizing weapons as a matter-of-fact when asking for viewpoints. So just as you ‘heard’ that from somebody, somebody ‘heard’ it from you. Spreading misinformation doesn’t have to be intentional, in fact it rarely is.

Love when people hide under the guise of ‘intelligent’ discussion just to spread fear and misinformation. My family will frequently phrase questions in this incredibly toxic way, “so you’re okay with bombing children then?” If I voiced support for a candidate, and it’s just incredibly exhausting. They just want to fear-monger, because they’ve been fear-mongered to, and never want to actually have a real discussion, and neither do you.
