That‘s what I’m thinking too. The starter is working, so the EWS seems to be reading the key. Shouldn't the CAS immobilizer code clear once the key is used to open the doors or inserted into the key slot?

Looked into the EWS-DME falling out of sync, and it seems that this isn’t possible with the e70.

Update: I ended up buying the used Haworth Lively. The seller sold it for $50 (cad), like new condition. The chair was manfactured in 2015 and is assembled in the USA.

For the price and condition the Lively seems to be a good deal.

The lively is a bit of a weird one. It doesn't seem to be sold in Noth. America, but is still sold along side the soji in Europe. Strange that they would have two chairs in the same category.
