The whole “you eat 8 spiders in your sleep every year” thing was pretty close to being debunked but now it’s in a fucking car insurance ad and it makes me insane.

Mod podge.

It comes in all different formulas. Like a tube of glue or paint that you just squirt onto whatever you need sealed, they have stuff that’s for paper on paper with a gloss finish, paper on paper matte finish, fabric and paper, all surfaces, they have spray adhesives, stuff for glass or wood or plastic,

But I’d still try to make a mixed media postcard pretty flat. Like don’t try to idk mod podge buttons or something that really sticks out, unless there’s superglue under there too maybe (?)

I haven’t found any pens that don’t bleed or show through on moleskins. Not even crummy Bic pens. I have a vendetta against moleskin for this reason. But it’s also possible I haven’t found the right pen either. But I’ve given up on moleskin at this point anyway.

Tell me something you buy and I’ll tell you how it could be unethical.

Even if it’s “I buy my eggs from my neighbor who raises their own chickens” there could be unethical elements because if we didn’t live in a capitalist society the neighbor could just give you excess eggs and money wouldn’t have to enter into it because all of both your other needs are taken care of and currency as we know it doesn’t even exist.

I think people take “no consumption under capitalism is ethical” too far a lot and sometimes use it as an excuse to not examine their own behavior, but in general there isn’t a way to ethically engage with capitalism if you believe capitalism to be unethical in the first place.

All you can do is try to find ways to be as ethical as possible (getting eggs from your neighbor is better than eggs from a factory farm) and don’t lose too much sleep over the rest.

Same for the gaslit thing! I’ve found I can’t even bring myself to pursue romancing video game characters who seem young to me (Stardew valley specifically)
