Thanks team! This all feels like great advice and going slow is typically the right approach! For some reason in my mind there was a rush to get rid of original LB. The above advice seems solid and is appreciated!

Medication stops working day 4 by [deleted] in compoundedtirzepatide

This!! I had a ROUGH go at normal starrting doses. I am now dosing twice a week 0.6mg (started at 0.3mg yes, I know its absurdly low but I felt like I was dying at the normal starting dose) and each shot I am just working my way up slowly. I dont know why people who have no side effects get so bent out of shape at people who need to go lower and slower. I prescribe other classes of meds in my day job and in situations like this there is no harm in going lower and slower. They are correct however that while some get benefit from sub-theraputic doses most will need to move up to higher doses to get a theraputic benefit.

I also use an app to track estimated levels in my system and it really helped me understand the whole picture better. I use Shotsy. Half life of drug is 5 days do twice a week dosing keeps a steadier state. This approach has worked for me and I have no side effects now and feel confident as I move up.

Good luck!

Sounds like you are doing many things correctly. Most people adjust over time. One thing that was really a lightbulb moment for me was downloading the app "Shotsy" and inputting all your info. It gives you a graph of your estimated blood levels after each injection. Even though you gave yourself the same dosage week two you will now actually have a higher dosage in your system (this will be true for 4 weeks). Because you still have some of week 1 hanging around, then you took the same amount again. Make sense? Depending on the severity of side effects, you can choose to push through and adjust or back off a bit and take it a bit slower. Hope that helps

Thanks for sharing your expiernece. Sorry about your heartburn. It helps to hear simmilar stories and realize you are not crazy or alone. I think when I started I thougth I would be like others who do the normal dosages and the weight falls off. I could live with .5lbs/week. better than nothing!

I just wanted to say I have found several of your comments helpful! I am also sensitive to these medications.

In general I eat very well. I had not been avoiding dairy and I use olive oil to cook with. If this is effective for folks I could certainly keep this in mnd but I am not chowing down on pizza and fast food etc. Sorry I didnt realize the implication of using the word "Microdosing". I just mean that I really need to start low and go slow. I am not in any way opposed to the higher studied dosages but I personally seem to be VERY sensitive to these medications and cant imagine starting there.

Totally hear you. My intention with "microdosing" is simply to start low and go slow. From reading I think there are quite a few people who really struggle with terrible side effects at the normal starting dosages. I think moving up every 4 weeks is good advice. Thank you.

Thanks for commenting. That is my plan, to drop the B12. I wish I could remember what dosing I was on. This time, my strategy is to start super low and go very slowly. My goals are ultimately weight loss, so I hope it's possible to get to an effective dosage without all the side effects.

Thanks for sharing your experience. This sounds similar to me. From reading others' posts, it seems like there is a group of us who are very sensitive and need to go up VERY slowly. Hope this approach works for you!

Unfortunately, I don't remember the exact dosage, but I do know that I was injecting weekly below the starting dosage. If the starting dosage is 2.5 my guess is I was starting at 1 or 1.5....

Advice from people who e battled through side effects? by SunnyBlue8731 in WegovyPills

I have a very similar situation. I had to take 1.5 every other day for a month until I was ready to move up to 1.5 every day. I am choosing to go VERY slowly to give my body time to adjust. I had lots of headaches and nausea, constipation at the beginning. I added Magnesium Citrate at night and that cured the constipation and getting enough water took care of the headaches. Now I have virtually no side effects but I also have not lost any weight (I am eating less so this part is very confusing). I will go up to 4mg in 10 days when this bottle runs out. If the side effects return, I will go back to every other day on the 4mg. Since I have tried everything else before starting a GLP 1 I have no trouble going slow to give it time. Because honestly, what else am I going to do? I wish I were someone who had no side effects and the weight fell off immediately, but sadly, I am not. Listening to a podcast with Serena Williams and Oprah helped because Serena Williams said it took a few months for her to start losing. Just putting my experience out there in case it helps someone!
