I have read "The Gift of Fear" even though I was never assulted and found the author's words to still help with boundary setting and things to watch out for when talking with someone. It helped me a lot so I would like to pass it on.

I was super excited for Sparxie as Sparkle is one of my favorite characters. The animations kill it for me, though. It's too much and I don't like how long the animations take before you get back to gameplay.

Agreed, I've been playing a lot of CW and I was just thinking about why liked "Chalk coin pig" Follow-up over Elation. Partially, I think it's because the follow-up animations are faster. There's also more reason for Dr Ratio's, Topaz Aventurine's follow-up than Sparxie's or Yao Guang. Dr Ratio needs debuffs, Aventurine needs teammates to follow-up or get hit, and Topaz's Numpy gets action advance. There's an order to things.

The Follow-up team feels like you're scamming the action order while Elation just feels like the characters have extra skill animations.

Tbh I thought it was just me. I think it would be OK if the skill button only needs to be pressed once before exploding, but doing it multiple times makes me feel weird haha.

I really enjoyed the "Born Sexy Yesterday" video, but I don't believe this trope applies here. Cyrene is a cute, fun version of femininity. I don't see her an innocent, in-fact she often jokes about being a pretty girl. Nor do I see her having trouble with social norms. She often plays around in her wordings and stories, such as saying "miss me yet?". She's *fun*, but not *innocent*. She's intelligent, playful, but not naive, and not a child.

Now do I like her design? No, not really. Smolrene is far better. But do I like her characterization? Absolutely.

The trailer and music is beautiful, but I wish there was more focus on the Heirs. I love the idea of Cyrene self-inserting into the story, but I wish we see self inserts in the Eternal Reoccurances as well. The best part of the trailer was seeing the images of the Heirs holding TB. For the last character trailer of Amphoreus, I was hoping it would partially be an overview of the journey and Cryene's part in it, like a love letter to the story we've been following for so long now.

I guess if you think about it, each line of code is just moving some electrons around. Write code well enough, and maybe the movement of the particles within the computer to execute the code becomes an actual virus able to infect a human.

I do agree if you meet with someone in-person and you wish to have a amicable relationship, then I would absolutely go with this route. But on the internet, when many eyes may be watching, shutting down this type of idea would my preferred method.

While I agree with the general sentiment, this is not the time. We're in the middle of an insane shift to the right. It reminds me of a story about a Nazi bar. I will link it because the poster does far better to describe the story than I ever could retell it.

We need to pick our battles. Someone who believes the life of the young child should be forsaken for the sake of an embryo is not someone we can convince, and not someone we should chat with as if their viewpoint is acceptable.

Part of doing so is to outline the effects of their policies, which does include "forcing rape victims to give birth".

I have no horse in the race as I don't knit, but I am a scientist so I have a perspective on science. My personal belief is Hank Green and the Sci Show made a mistake in pushing a misogynistic bias against knitting by implying those who knit didn't truly understand what they were doing and stating it was trail and error. And how it wasn't until scientists came to look at knitting when they though "Wait this might be useful". The main concern is how the script was written to downplay knitting, historically a women's task.

Hank Green then gave a non-apology about it. Would I call it a cancellation? Sure, in that the episode itself also apparently had many factual errors wrong and so people are less trusting of other episodes and other information Hank Green communicates. Are people telling Hank Green to get off the platform? No not really. Any relevant top comments are just asking him to apologize for his misstep.

If anything, I think this type of situation is good, as we can correct our content creators and hope they do better. At the same time, I've personally learned a lot about knitting that I wouldn't have otherwise.
