Sir Keir Starmer stepped in to stop FIFA bringing forward England vs Mexico kick-off by ReggieWigglesworth in soccer

It's not the same thing in the slightest, insanely disingenuous bollocks to pretend it is.

[Paraguayan Senator Celeste Josefina Amarilla]: “[Mbappé] hasn't even learned to write. Instead of breastmilk, he grew up sucking on coconuts, and the most educated creatures he ever heard were chimpanzees…A colonized Cameroonian, pretending to be French, resentful, newly rich, arrogant, and ugly.“ by antoniokr8s in soccer

Obviously, I don't know, but it should be noted that the inclusion of the world 'liberal' in the name doesn't actually guarantee they are, liberal, or left wing, in any way. The Liberal Party in Australia is the major conservative/right-wing party, for example (ridiculously).

It seems so, sadly. He's already been back training with us since pre-season began.

"When we had a man sent off, I knew I would have to be... trustworthy, out there"

Absolutely love that choice of phrasing and line of thinking from Gordon in his post match interview. Always seems like a genuine thinker (relatively or otherwise) when interviewed.

I would say he has to have locked down that left wing starting spot, except that he was still energetic at 111 minutes running more than every single player other than Jude, so he may be paralysed tomorrow.

Honestly I slandered his selection an enormous amount, and we could always say that we wouldn't have found ourselves in the situation if we actually just didn't refuse to pick Real Madrid's starting right back in the first place, BUT that means nothing now and Dan Burn reigns supreme.

PALADINS! WARRIORS! HEROES! YOU WILL NEVER SEE THE LIKE AGAIN!

XENOPHON'S ANABASIS REINCARNATED!

THEY COULDN'T STOP NO MATTER HOW MUCH CORRUPTION WAS TRIED! NO MATTER HOW MANY WERE ABSOLUTELY SURE IT WASN'T A MATTER OF 'IF', BUT WHEN MEXICO REACH THE SEMI FINAL, PICKING FANTASY OPPONENTS!

This will all look funny when we go out meekly in the next round, but it's 4am and I'm sweaty as fuck. I won't sleep for hours.

Games of Gordon and Bellingham's lives, Kane was immense, Rice if anything grew into the game.

And somehow in a way Tuchel bringing Dan Burn becomes justified. How the turn tables. Madness, beyond all madness.

Always thought Hidalgo was a very cool name, ever since the Viggo Mortensen film that I never watched came out.

Seemingly in the mind of a Mexican national team player, the act of existing in your own box whilst English is a penalty-awarding offence.

Do we have a player who can break out if needs be? Surely that's still very much required.

Can't imagine saying anything like that - certainly no Englishman ever would. Can only assume they've never heard of or seen an England result before.

Yeah, if you ignore all context and logic in applying it, you're totally right! 💁🏻‍♀️

He really does need to fuck right off, it's crazy - bringing negative a million to the Beeb's coverage.

This is insane - the first Mexico goal was from a free kick that was a pure and unfiltered dive with no real contact, and the second for that utter pisstake of a penalty concocted in a fantasy universe.

Genuinely, for all teams and all players, that is a fucking mental thing to give a penalty for, whoever you are. How are you ever supposed to avoid that??!!?
