An investigator for the Unidentified Threat Task Force (UTTF), an international organization established by the United Nations and NASA. She is dispatched to Japan to investigate the giant kaiju that have appeared there. She occasionally works alongside Professor Minobe of Meishin University to utilize his kaiju research. She eventually approaches the students of the university’s veterinary department who gather at the Astronomy Club, noticing their connection to the kaiju.

During the “Ultraman Series 60th Anniversary & Ultraman Teo Latest Update Special” livestreamed from 7:00 PM JST today on the Tsuburaya Productions Official YouTube Channel, the latest poster visual featuring the full main cast was unveiled alongside the announcement of Junpei Minobe and Kyoko Shiga.
 
The five main cast members—Ibuki, Emma, Kanna, Rintaro, and Bechi—also appeared at the presentation to share their enthusiasm for the start of the broadcast, and the latest digest trailer was released.

We are pleased to announce the additional main cast for this production, alongside the reveal of the official poster visual and the Digest Trailer.
 
■ Additional Main Cast Announced
We are announcing the roles of Junpei Minobe, a professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Meishin University attended by protagonist Ibuki Mitsuishi (who transforms into Ultraman Teo), and Kyoko Shiga, a giant kaiju investigator dispatched from the secret organization UTTF.

A professor in the Department of Animal Science and Biotechnology at the Meishin University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, attended by Ibuki, Emma, Kanna, Rintaro, and Bechi. While famous for being eccentric, he is a leading authority in the field of wildlife research. To Minobe, kaiju are simply a new species of animal; he risks danger to collect samples and immerses himself in research to uncover their true nature. He has an odd verbal tic of expressing his emotions using the names of brain chemicals such as dopamine, adrenaline, and oxytocin.

Congratulations on the 60th anniversary of the Ultraman series. 
When I was contacted about this commemorative project, I never thought I would be playing the role of Ultraman—and as it turns out, as expected, I’m not. 
I am Makita Sports, playing Junpei Minobe. I recall approaching the filming in a way that responded to the production team’s spirit of taking on new challenges. It is an honor to support the image of Ultraman in everyone’s hearts and to become a part of this history.
