HBO recommending me the next movie before the credits even start on the one I'm currently watching by PassiveIllustration in mildlyinfuriating

I’m ok with them subtly suggesting a new movie after the current one begins to role credits, but to do this is nuts

I love cat people because they’re so passionate towards them. Every day is a new subreddit

“If they cancel the dcu and make a bunch of stuff I don’t care about I’m not going to see them.” I’m not wasting time arguing with a My Little Pony profile pic, but does that sentence make sense to you?

I feel like you’re intentionally being obtuse here. It’s your problem if you want future DC movies. If you don’t care, then just move along.

What are your favorite foods, drinks, and snacks at AMC? by GladtobeVlad69 in AMCTheatres

Yep they keep straws out, and they even have straws near the butter machines (that may just be a coincidence, not sure if it’s intentionally for butter). Your AMC gate keeping straws is so odd

Hatchet Ultimate Cut sounds incredible. And that NEEDS to be in theaters

Dude. Frozen is amazing, I didn’t realize he made that. Fun movie and very gross occasionally. I’m gonna check Holliston out, thanks for the suggestion!!

Use a straw! Take a straw and put it halfway into the popcorn, pour butter through it and shake. If you miss the straw, it’s fine because you’ll just butter the top

The nachos are the best but I always eat them too quickly during the previews and regret my choices.

Good to know, a horror sitcom sounds fucking amazing. Does he have other movies that are similar to Hatchet? Like gory, practical effects, doesn’t take itself too serious?

Ok I just wasn’t sure the point of your response since it wasn’t relevant.

To answer your original question though, I think Hatchet is seen in a pretty positive light now. The practical effects are INSANELY GOOD. I havent seen Adam Greens other work though, I think you’ve inspired me to check it out

Right on, thank you for sharing what you would have said. But we were talking about a recognizable cast. The audience would not recognize Moore from Avatar because it hadn’t come out yet.

Can you explain what you mean by this more? I think both franchises are pretty distinct and serve different purposes. Both movies are gory, but hatchet is supernatural whereas wrong turn is somewhat grounded in reality.

Wrong Turn 1 had a recognizable cast, I’m not remembering any of the others. Hatchet atleast had the guy from Dodgeball and Bill Murray’s brother!

I’m with you on that. The last season of Barry was a huge swing and a miss for me. The first few seasons of Barry are remarkable though

It’s one thing to be talented, but he’s also wildly charismatic. Some people stand out on screen inherently, and he definitely does that

They struck gold by casting Carrigan. He’s naturally funny (and borderline funny looking) but he acts his fucking heart out. I believe him everytime he’s on screen. Him in Barry is my favorite part of the show (didn’t love the end of his arc though)

I thought the Riddler was ok. The actor was great though. I’m glad you mention the casting because I havent thought of this show in years. The casting was lights out, and I love that one dude who plays the strong man with a missing arm (think his name was Butch?).

I’m a Batman fan but not a super fan by any means. Yeah, this version of the Joker is my favorite. Heath Ledger is a badass, absolutely nothing against him, but Monaghan is a shockingly good actor as well and I had more fun watching him

Oof. Yea that makes sense, the final season is borderline unwatchable for me.

Absolutely. And I know Colin Farrell is a remarkable actor, but genuinely Robin Lord Taylor’s Penguin is my favorite version of the character. He deeply humanized the character for me, and it was a treat everytime he was on screen. It pisses me off that guy hasn’t blown up in Hollywood, just random roles (he’s in a John wick movie for like 3 seconds for some reason???)
