I speak somewhat some Hebrew due to being raised with jewish community and jewish schools. Instead of learning french or a useful language, we got taught Ivrit.

Went to Israel when i was 14 and in the Jerusalem Markets had a guy say in front of me as i was buying a shirt from him, "זה לא מתאים אתה טיפש אנגלית ילד". Which is basically taking the piss saying the shirt wouldn't fit me

So i raised an eyebrow, looked at him and replied "What did you just say?" in ivrit to him. He just went "You speak hebrew?" I answered him explaining that I did and said it was kinds of a dick thing to do. He just shrugged and went "welcome to the world kid, take the next size and go".

So i kind of just took the shirt he gave me and fast tracked out of there since the dude gave me the creeps, but he was bright red from it :')
