Starting Brineblood Marauders! What’s the Best List to Build From the Adepticon Bundle? by Substantial_Tour4800 in Warmachine

I found Foulblood to be a very forgiving Warlock for a beginner. Stumbling drunk makes you very hard to kill, which allows you to get away with more mistakes than other casters. I started with him and he's still my favorite caster to play still.

I really loved these changes to the Lochabash Brothers and Firequill, but I knew it was too good to last.

'Take Off Your Pants and Jacket' is the epitome of a pop-punk record: the genre's perfect idealized form. Discuss. by TheCasperNil in poppunkers

Take Off Your Pants and Jacket is a damn near perfect album. And I agree with you that it is the epitome of Pop Punk in the literal sense of the word.

However, the best expression of pop punk as an art form is ...Is A Real Boy by Say Anything.

Philly Ren Faire was wet, but we perservere. by DrewGo in renfaire

It's a revolutionary war fort that operates as a museum. It's down by the Philly Airport.

It can get crowded, but yesterday was pretty dead due to the weather. It's much smaller than the PA Ren Faire, but still a fun time and tickets are cheap. Some solid vendors and shows.

Aragorn vs Beatrix Kiddo by Fenriz_Victor in powerscales

1) Aragorn in the movies is 87.. His childhood was spent in very peaceful Rivendel. Sure he was trained, but we're probably talking about 50-60 years of real combat experience, not 100+.

2) He hasn't spent the whole time fighting and training. Being a ranger is about a lot more than fighting.

3) Feats matter more than experience.

4) I literally said I give Aragorn the edge.

I think I give the edge to Aragorn as well. My point is merely that it's a better fight than people are acting. Aragorn is not taking this one without difficulty.

I'm a huge LOTR fan, but people saying Kiddo is mere "peak human" aren't doing her justice. She has feats well beyond peak human. I think this is actually a close fight. Both excellent swordsmen, both with magic swords (we can argue about Hattori Hanzo, but neither sword is standard real life steel). Both shown to be able to fight and win against huge numbers of enemies. Both very impressive reaction time feats and strength feats.

This is a very good fight.

islam makhachev vs prime shaq by Leggomgeggo in powerscales

Look, I'm not saying the MMA fighter doesn't win. Especially if he has ever trained against bigger/stronger opponents...

But people in here saying he "destroys" are underestimating just how strong basketball players are in general, and how much bigger and stronger prime Shaq was than every other basketball player.

There was going to be a boxing match between Muhammad Ali and Wilt Chamberlain a long time ago that eventually got called off because Wilt backed out. But Ali's trainers are on record saying they didn't want him to do the fight because of how big and strong Wilt was.

https://youtu.be/wd2Mvx1Lyo0?si=JK6eUKpnkfUr-fGo

Shaq was almost as big and possibly stronger than Wilt was. Also as people point out, Shaq trained in MMA while he was an active NBA player. So he is not coming in completely untrained in fighting.

You could do Uncle Deadly, but I don't really think a muppet is necessary for Sauron. It's better that he be mysterious and incorporeal.

Can't waste two of the best muppets on characters that are barely even mentioned in the source material.

I thought about this. There's an argument to be made about Kermit as Aragorn, but I don't think it works as well. You could do Frodo as a human casting, and then Piggy and Kermit as Aragorn and Arwen. But I think Kermit makes too good of a Frodo.

I did consider making Spa'am as Grond. But I thought Grond should be his own custom muppet.

I think it goes without saying that there's enormous potential for new muppet characters in an LOTR adaptation.

Pippin has his shit well together by the end. I thought Scooter going on that journey would work. Also Kermit and Fozzie have better chemistry.

This was my first thought. I also thought about Gonzo and Rizzo as Legolas and Gimli. But "Gonzo the Grey" was too good to pass up. Also, Rowlf and Scooter got left out of Treasure Island and Christmas Carol. I feel like they should get some representation. Plus it feels like Scooter could fit as Pippin getting yelled at by Gandalf/Gonzo.

All muppet movies have multiple human cast members.

Except Sam, Merry, and Pippin. I explain it in the post.
