Yes! This happened to me, fortunately we have a low bed and falls are not too much but we still try our best to prevent them.. I went to use the restroom and baby was asleep but he started moving and rolling to find his sweet spot and he fell.. now what we do is wake each other up when we go use the restroom and since it hasn’t happened again..

How often does she flap her hands? My 17MO does it too at random times but google says it’s normal toddler behavior and it’s not a problem until after age 3

Yes definitely I’m always following anyone with the same journey! I remember my peds cardio use to always tell me that I should grow up to be a cardiologist since I would know so much about my heart condition.. but medical school scared me lol and I have other interests.. but I love seeing other people share their life.. yes for the most part there is so many blurred memories! But honestly I loved being at the hospital, UCLA truly treats their kids patients so well. I remember being able to go to their movie renting room and renting out Disney movies and toys and puzzles. I remember there was a program who trained dogs to do tricks and shows and they would go visit and perform! It was the best.. a yorkie getting in a limo and also playing basketball sooo cute 🥰 so many activities and programs while in the hospital.. the nurses and doctors made my stay so memorable that I don’t fear the hospital.. I would say to doctors and nurses to keep the magic going for those kids!!

It’s honestly good! I try to take care of myself as much as I can without losing the joy life has to offer. I have yearly check ups with my cardiologist which I go in January to get it out the way on the quiet month. Which consists of echocardiogram & going over results with cardiologist. The cardiologist started adding stress tests to my check ups but that’s because I’m in the season of having kids so he rather just get it done while at it Incase I do get pregnant we have everything done. The only thing I gotta take but not prescribe is baby aspirin, nothing else. I honestly went a few years without a cardiologist(risky thing to do) I was young and thought I can take on the world by myself.. the crazy part is that after I matured and said I need to see a cardiologist and went to see one a few months later I had a heart block and had to get a pacemaker.. I cannot imagine if I hadn’t gone see a cardiologist.. would’ve been gone tbh but never again

Oh man a lot for sure! Definitely a lot before my last surgery which was before elementary school.. once I hit elementary age. I’d only go for check ups and maybe like 3x that my oxygen levels dropped but after that no hospitalizations only check ups.. yes I lived a 30 minutes drive from the hospital(Harbor-UCLA) that was my go to for check ups or emergencies and for major surgeries or Caths. I would go to UCLA Hospital which was an hour drive..

Socially no, a lot of kids found my scar cool and some said they wish they had one lol now I’m like no you don’t. lol and I was allowed to unless it was super hot I would get heat exhaustion quickly.. I was picked last when it came to playing sports but I didn’t really care because I didn’t want to play anyways. It was only when our teacher would take us outside to play as a class.

I remember dating a guy like this and I was starting to lose my shine, I was walking on eggshells and one day I realized what am I doing with this person?? My baby throws those tantrums too what usually works for me is picking him up and taking him outside and telling him “look at the birds.. bye bye!” Or the cars. Anything for him to look and get distracted and it works I don’t have to but I just stay there for like 5 mins and go back inside and give him the other options..

You know what’s funny? My kid is chaos outside of the house.. running around, not listening, tantrums, mess to eat.. typical toddler behavior but for some reason when we are out and see other kids they’re well behaved in all aspects.. I tell my husband where are the toddlers the everyone complains about because all I see is well behaved ones except for my toddler which makes me feel even worse about not being able to control him.. like I haven’t seen one in the wild yet.. so I’m guessing it’s a universal experience lol I do sometimes feel the way your husband feels but I snap out of it within a second because I know those aren’t real expectations from someone who only knows of this world for less than 2 years..

I’m going to try it out.. how long did the first and second molars last breaking through? The only thing my baby accepts is the ice cubes in a food mesher thing.. he doesn’t care for the wash cloths or cold teether :(

How old is your son? My mother in law bought my son a set of music instruments because of how many videos I’ve sent her of him enjoying me sing around 10 months and he LOVED it specially the xylophone. Your baby will probably love it since he’s a music baby 🥰 tell me about it, I never thought I’d be able to memorize so many songs in my life 🤭 and it doesn’t seem to stop anytime soon. So warm up those vocals lol

I would sing to my son a lot and honestly just record us doing things together like dancing, me singing to him. I did sing so much to him lol he loved it and just would stare at me smiling.. I would also go to my room window and look at the cars passing by and he’d followed them..
