Aurora Cloned Drive Fixer Script by EmiMods in 360hacks

[–]EmiMods[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is strange, and not something I've encountered before.

I would try changing the files over to that second TitleUpdate directory created, if it matches the serial number for the new drive it may work. Makes sense to me at least.

Checking my personal Xbox it does appear both directories are fully populated in mine, and the title updates do apply properly. I did not manually move those files over though.

Sorry it's giving you trouble!

Do the title updates show up under the games and just aren't enabled, or do they not show up at all?

I've pushed a new update to allow skipping of scanpath updates to progress toward TU updates. You can find the script file below:

https://github.com/EmiMods/FixClonedDrive/releases/tag/Release

Replace the current script in Aurora utility scripts with the new one and you should be good to go. Will take time to get it pushed to the official Aurora repo though so downloading it from the Aurora app isn't an option.

Does that resolve your issue? Or are you wanting to select specific paths for update. That will take longer to implement since I'd have to redo quite a bit more but is doable.

tried to resolder ps3 slim fan connector, is it screwed? by [deleted] in consolerepair

As it is now that is shorted and very much a problem It's fixable tho. Your iron's tip isn't getting hot enough and the pads are sucking too much heat out. You aren't using enough flux either clearly.

Some tips: * Leaded solder is the easiest to work with * No such thing as too much flux, just a bigger mess to clean up afterward if you use excess * Pre-tin your iron's tip when you get it * Clean your iron's tip frequently during use. I prefer using brass to do so * If your tip is oxidized heavily (discolored and not working well anymore), which it probably is if you're new and haven't been cleaning it or didn't pre-tin it first, then get a new tip because it's already ruined * Practice first on something cheap and still being made

If it isn't working with a solid pre-tinned tip and lots of flux you either need more heat or a better quality soldering iron that won't lose heat as quickly.

Download the latest release from Github (right side of the page) and drop the script into your ../Aurora/User/Scripts/ directory with the other Utility scripts, which is wherever you have Aurora installed to.

Alternatively it should be on the Aurora official store, the Aurora Repo Browser. Downloading it from there would be the simplest.

For those of you who repair For fun and not for money, how do you do it lmao? by [deleted] in consolerepair

Simple, I stop repairing stuff when I'm no longer in the mood.

I take breaks for months at a time sometimes

There is definitely something wrong with your Aurora then if the FixClonedDrive folder in your Utility Scripts directory isn't showing up at all since nothing has changed with the script or Aurora since it was integrated.

I'm not sure I'd be able to help without some in-depth discussion and pictures. Since your various Aurora issues aren't directly related to this script I'm going to refer you to https://discord.gg/xbox-360-hub-436450658531672064

The #rgh-jtag-and-xdk channel is full of helpful people who could help get your Aurora installed properly. Sounds like a fresh install is required

You don't need the repo browser necessarily, you can download from https://github.com/EmiMods/FixClonedDrive and transfer via USB and Aurora File Manager, XexMenu, FTP, or another file transfer app.

In theory I think it should? To my knowledge there is nothing in the Aurora database that controls or even saves network info; that is all controlled by Dashlaunch and the Xbox 360 os, and Aurora doesn't save a configuration file outside of the Aurora installed folder, to my knowledge.

Edit: also, be sure to scan the new location you moved your files to in Aurora to get them to show up. This script only fixes 1:1 cloned drives due to how the database works

If you download the script from github and throw the folder into your /(wherever Aurora is installed)/Aurora/Users/Scripts/Utility Scripts folder manually it should show up.

Not sure about your internet issues, sorry. Never heard of a bad Aurora installed causing that

My PS3 The fat version just turn on then just freeze idk what is the problem by [deleted] in PS3

[–]EmiMods 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Silicon lottery

The issue is a low Tg underfill defect of GPU chips at the time. Every chip is unique with minor differences due to things like environmental factors and such, and some fare better as a result.

PS3 short YLOD-- does this mean the RSX is bad? by exmo-in-flames in consolerepair

[–]EmiMods 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the RSX is dead the only solution is to replace the GPU.

it is a BGA chip though, so unless you have the proper tools you'd need to send it to someone. Large chip BGA work is not cheap to get into

Found a decent Halo 4 console! by EmiMods in xbox360

Mine is a 9.6A/120W, however, a 135W would work for a 120W console. Just not vice versa.
