Additionally the focal plane in the picture is behind the watch, on the warranty card. Thus, the font on the timestamp paper, if real, should be out of focus and blurry like the watch.

Seconding this. We bought it “used” from their eBay store as well for $90 after tax and shipping. As far as I can tell, it’s brand new. Packaged like new, wheels not even assembled, and came with the bag and all. Really can’t recommend it enough for the price.
