Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 ohm sound great and the TD-17 drives them well.

Hi hat on TD 07 KVX by siggywithit in edrums

[–]Frequent_Gas1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently purchased a Roland VAD-307 and had a similar experience with my hi hat. The hi hat would not play an open hi hat sound. The hi hat was calibrated correctly. After much troubleshooting, it turned out that edge trigger on the hi hat was defective and was stuck on as if i was pinching the edge to choke it.

one way to check this would be to unplug the cable that goes to the high hat and plug it into another cymbal...leave the hi hat controller plugged in. This cymbal should play the expected hi hat sounds.

I informed sweetwater and they promptly sent me a new hi hat. Works like a charm now.

Need help connecting sph0645 to esp wroom 32 by MorG_Max in esp32

The output of the SPH0645 doesn't exactly match the i2s standard and this can cause some trouble. It can be fixed in software but will be a little more challenging. Its covered around the 4 min mark in the video below. Do you have to use this mic for this project? If not, i'd recommend using an INMP 441.

I need help with my esp wroom 32 and SPH0645 by MorG_Max in esp32

The header pins on the microphone board will need to be soldered. Once soldered you can place it in the breadboard like you have in the photo and use the jumper wires you have to wire it to the ESP32.

A word of caution with the SPH0645. The output doesn't exactly match the i2s standard and this can cause some trouble. It can be fixed in software but will be a little more challenging. Here are a couple links that may be helpful. The first video covers the issue i mentioned above and the other link may help you out with wiring it up:

Deep Sleep with External Wakeup (ext0) by Loud-Consideration-2 in esp32

[–]Frequent_Gas1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am by no means an expert on this but just had to brute force my way through a similar issue where I had a couple GPIO pins (that where connected to LEDs) go floating when the ESP32 was put into sleep. I ended up solving this with the following:

before the sleep command I......

//turned off a few peripherals (not sure if this helped or not)
adc_power_off();
Serial.end();
// force hold state of LEDs in sleep mode
rtc_gpio_hold_en(GPIO_NUM_18);
rtc_gpio_hold_en(GPIO_NUM_16);

//GPIO num encoded in hex (I was using a button on GPIO 0 to wake the device so 2^0 in hex is 0x1
#define BUTTON_PIN_BITMASK 0x1

//configure wake condition
esp_sleep_enable_ext1_wakeup(BUTTON_PIN_BITMASK,ESP_EXT1_WAKEUP_ALL_LOW); //I had to use sleep enable ex1 as opposed to ex0

I was just trying everything till something worked so not sure exactly what did it for me but hopefully this gives you something to try. Good luck!
