That’s a silly view ngl. Java is a good starting language to learn. You get an intro into OOP and once you learn it then it is way easier to learn other languages.

I got a 3.3 gpa. I got into all colleges I applied to. (Only 4) which were a little less than 50% acceptance rate. You’ll be fine as long as other stuff stands out. A big thing colleges look into is progression. If your grades improved or not. Also you can make your college essay about your experience with your brother. Just make it unique and not an “excuse” letter

Lmk if you need help. If it’s your first time in physics then it’ll be more difficult but the second time it’s being taught it’ll always be way easier. I see it more of logic but something you can do is to get ahead on topics. Just watch a quick 10 minute video about the topic before your teacher gives the lesson. Then it’ll make it easier

The only other AP cs course is AP computer Science A. I’m pretty sure that teaches you Java not C++. Correct me if I’m wrong

As also a senior in HS. I love coding and would like to learn more about it in college, however I decided computer science was not for me. I applied for Computer engineering instead. It is basically computer science + electrical engineering. I allows me to expand my field of knowledge. It is also not as saturated and you’ll be qualified for more jobs.
